Drummond Brings Value with Integrated Communications Solutions
JACKSONVILLE, Fl – Acknowledging that the traditional role of a commercial printing company is to provide “ink on paper” products; The Drummond Press has broken this mold as a current provider of “Integrated Communications Solutions”. Over the last couple of years, they have added to their traditional capabilities many ancillary services such as CD/DVD development, SMS Technology, database maintenance and using variable data in their direct mail capabilities. These additions have allowed this 69 year old printing company to become much more of a partner with their customers.

“Today our customers need to do more than just communicate with their internal or external clients. They must now communicate in such a manner that will be best received. For example, a direct mail piece that drives an 18 to 25 year old recipient to a text messaging campaign, or a CD/DVD mailed to a 25 to 40 year old, should each meet with great success. However, a text messaging campaign to an age group of 60 and older would meet with little if any response. Therefore, we package all of our diverse services in order to bring the most value to our customers. Only then can they receive the highest amount of return on their marketing dollars,” says John Falconetti, President of the Drummond Press.

While continuing to be one of the largest and most diverse suppliers of traditional “ink on paper” products in the Southeast, these added services has set them apart from their competition and notes them as leading a trend in the communications industry.

Drummond Establishes “Tri-Green” as Environmental Standard
JACKSONVILLE, Fl – Many in the commercial printing industry speak of a singular measure, or minimum threshold that must be achieved in order to market themselves as a “Green” manufacturer. However, the Drummond Press has truly set a new Standard. Deemed the “Tri-Green” initiative, Drummond joins a handful of printing companies in the Southeast that have been certified by not just one, but three internationally recognized Forestry Certifications. These three groups include the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative ® (SFI) program and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Collectively, their certification ensures that printed materials have been manufactured in a manner that addresses proper environmental practices, and guarantees a documented Chain of Custody for all materials. This elevated threshold allows Drummond to address many other issues that would otherwise not be accounted for, such as avoiding commerce with Nations involved in questionable human rights practices to a ban on any rain forest timber.

“The Drummond Press has chosen to accept business practices that are far more limiting in nature, but much more impactful in practice, than our competition,” says John Falconetti, President of Drummond. He further adds that, “However, our willingness to accept the “Tri-Green” initiative was not done in order to differentiate ourselves from them, but to demonstrate to our employees and customers that we are willing to do what it takes to truly make a difference. You can’t choose a narrow and convenient approach to being a good steward, you must embrace the challenges that accompany these constructive business practices and stay dedicated and absolute to this standard.” There are no other commercial printing companies in North Florida that have received this level of international certification.

The Drummond Press is a 69 year old commercial printing firm that supplies traditional marketing materials as well as publications, catalogs and direct mail. They have also led the industry in establishing capabilities to provide new emerging technologies such as CD/DVD’s, SMS technology and database maintenance.

THE DRUMMOND PRESS ADDS SPECIALIZED UV COATING CAPABILITIES
(Jacksonville, FL) – Being a leader in the direct mail and publications market, The Drummond Press has continued its commitment to new and innovative products for it’s customers by adding large format UV Coating capabilities.

The addition of this 28 x 40 UV Coater, places The Drummond Press among a handful of Southeastern commercial printing companies that have this equipment. This special coating gives more protection and sheen than either varnish or aqueous coating. Therefore, it has great applications to publication covers and direct mail postcards.

As for how this new acquisition can help his customers, John Falconetti President of Drummond Press says that, “This coating adds a great “richness” to the look and feel of any product. In direct mail, the key is to set your piece apart and therefore encourage the recipient to take more notice of your offer. Unquestionably, this coating accomplishes that goal.”

This acquisition is the latest in a plan that has already led to a 300% increase in capacity. This also distinguishes The Drummond Press as one of the fastest growing printers and categorizes them in the largest 1% of printing manufacturers in the Nation.
