Database Marketing Case Study
Drummond Press implements program to help customers build databases allowing them to find out who responded to their direct mail campaigns and what offers were most successful. By merging an initial mail file to a sequential code Drummond can help identify customers by zip and by what they buy. This now enables customers to spend less on their direct mail campaigns and focus on what they know will be a return on investment. By targeting your campaigns into categories you can now have offers that are meaningful and relevant based on actual results! Such categories would be new mover and acquisition campaigns, current customer loyalty programs, and slow store sales. During 2006, Drummond Press received awards in both The Florida Print Awards sponsored by the Printing Association of Florida and the prestigious Premier Print Awards, which serves as the most recognized national competition presented by the Printing Industries of America. In fact, the most successful entry was print run of 10,000 magazines that was 84 pages plus cover that we printed in six colors throughout, UV coated the cover, perfect bound and distributed from receipt of disk in only 3 days. In addition, Drummond proactively recommended a substitute sheet of paper that also reduced the publishers costs by 10% while retaining its' award winning quality.
Flat sheet and Heatset Web Capabilities
Drummond Press is a unique manufacturer of printed materials by offering both small, mid and large format sheetfed presses and heat set web capabilities. One organization found themselves working with flat sheet companies that couldn't be competitive in large projects or "roll-outs" either in turn around times or pricing. While they also couldn't rely on their traditional web printers to be competitive with small to medium sized projects, or niche marketing efforts. This challenge forced this customer to use many vendors that then created porblems with consistency of branding (ie logo, color, paper, etc), inflated cost due to having to use the wrong vendor/equipment for the sake of time as well as accounting challenges of multiple vendors with their terms and processes.
